Crystal Theme

Crystal looks like a tricky theme to configure. It's not too tricky, it just takes a couple of steps.

You use the plugin called WP-Cycle. Have a look at it, navigate to

Dashboard - Media

and there's the WP-Cycle

Click on the link and you will be taken to the page where the WP-Cycle is - it looks like this.

Straightforward. Yes. But first - upload an image using that Choose File button on the WP-Cycle page.

(Don't worry about the WP-Cycles settings)

Now, go and create a post using that same image.

Navigate to Post - Add New

Place the image (try not to make it more 600p) in the 'center'. Write some textual content - perhaps a sentence or two about that image?

Place it in a category and then publish.

Now, go and view your post. Take the url (copy) of that post. Go back to the WP-Cycle page. Paste that url into the space provided next to the image.

I have already configured the widget area 'Home Top Left' to take the images from WP-Cycle

The Portfolio Page

The Portfolio Page template showcases posts with a featured image in a grid layout.

In the example Westgate Park in Pictures the posts showing on that page are categorised as Featured.
