About our feline friends

Our group is at http://www.squidoo.com/groups/felinefriends
The number of cats submitting their own lenses is growing - but some more would be terrific.

I know those cats are out there!

RE: About our feline friends

It's a pity it's called feline friends. If it was called feline friends and enemies, Saffy the Springer Spaniel would do a lens about her view of cats. Basically she's not keen on them. Big Grin

This is not my opinion, BTW. I've had cats and have loved them very much but I can't change Saffy's mind on the subject.

Yes, Saffy left a comment on my cat's blog to that effect Smile

Oh yes... Nia definitely needs a lens. Thanks for the reminder.

Also, check this out: Sticky Sheets pet hair removers. The site doesn't look like much, but I was given some of these and: holy hellcat, they're amazing.

Hello
Declawing isn't cruel if done by a licensed veterinarian and given pain meds. I think it should only be used as a last resort if nail caps and other things have been tried first and don't work. I see this procedure done all the time and as long as it's done correctly and w/ pain meds I don't have a problem w/ it. Some people would take their cat to the pound if they couldn't have it declawed. Soooo...declaw or euthanize??

The simple answer to cats clawing the furniture is to clip their claws if they get too long and sharp, just like we cut our nails. It's also possible to train a kitten to use a scratching post most of the time. If a cat scratching the carpet or furniture is a problem for you, don't get a cat, get a budgerigar instead.
